We Are All Just Children on Earth

We Are All Just Children on Earth

In our earthly existence, it’s easy to forget how young and inexperienced we are compared to the ancient beings that reside in heaven. The Bible reminds us of this profound truth in Hebrews 13:2, which states, "Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it." This suggests that angels, beings of great age and wisdom, walk among us.

Ancient Beings Among Us

These angelic beings, who have existed for eons, share their immense knowledge and understanding with us. They see us as children, and just as an elder might guide the youth, they offer wisdom to those who are receptive. Proverbs 2:6 says, "For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding." When we are open to learning, these ancient beings can provide profound insights that shape our lives.

Lay Up Treasures in Heaven

Many people mistakenly believe that encountering an angel will bring them material wealth. However, the true treasures are not of this earth. Jesus advised in Matthew 6:19-20, "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal." This scripture emphasizes the eternal value of spiritual riches over temporary material gains.

The Worthlessness of Earthly Riches

To angels, money holds no value. Their realm is one of spiritual wealth and divine wisdom. James 3:17 provides insight into the nature of true wisdom: "But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere." This heavenly wisdom is far more valuable than any earthly treasure and is freely given to those who seek it earnestly.

Seeking Divine Wisdom

The key to gaining true wisdom is through sincere prayer and a heart open to God’s guidance. James 1:5 encourages us, saying, "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you." By praying for wisdom, knowledge, and understanding, we align ourselves with God’s will, and He grants these gifts in His perfect timing.

Conclusion

We are indeed like children on Earth, still learning and growing under the watchful eyes of ancient heavenly beings. By focusing on spiritual wisdom and laying up treasures in heaven, we align ourselves with divine purpose and gain insights that far surpass any material wealth. Let us seek to learn and grow in wisdom, guided by the eternal truths found in God’s Word.

We Are All Just Children on Earth

In our journey through life, we often seek guidance and wisdom beyond our own understanding. St. Mykul’s prayer is a beautiful expression of this desire, a heartfelt plea for divine intervention and alignment with Jehovah’s will. It serves as a reminder of the profound connection we can cultivate with the divine, allowing us to become vessels of His wisdom and love.

St. Mykul’s prayer:

“I pray for Jehovah to speak through me all the time, and I pray for Jehovah to remove all my thoughts, and implant His thoughts all the time, as I do not even want my thoughts.”
