Update from Pastor Kizito Wafula – Jehovah Saints Church, Nairobi, Kenya

Building a Home for Roseline Lukelesia

Pastor Kizito Wafula of Jehovah Saints Church in Nairobi, Kenya, shares an inspiring report about their ongoing mission to build a home for an elderly widow, Roseline Lukelesia. This act of love and service reflects the heart of the church's mission to care for the vulnerable and fulfill God’s call to serve those in need.

  • Isaiah 1:17“Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.”

The construction of the house is progressing, but there are still critical needs to complete the project. Pastor Kizito reports that they still require:

  1. Doors and Windows

  2. Flooring for the House

A Call for Prayers and Support

Pastor Kizito asks for the continued prayers of the Jehovah Saints community and all believers. He emphasizes the importance of seeking God’s provision to secure the funding needed to complete this home for Roseline Lukelesia.

  • James 2:15-16 – “Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,’ but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?”

    • Let us not only pray but also act in faith to support this mission, as faith without works is dead.

  • Galatians 6:9-10 – “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”

The Importance of Caring for Widows

Caring for widows is a biblical mandate and a reflection of God’s heart. By building this home, Jehovah Saints Church is living out the teachings of Christ and bringing hope to those in need.

  • Psalm 68:5“A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.”

  • 1 Timothy 5:3“Give proper recognition to those widows who are really in need.”

Roseline Lukelesia, an elderly widow, represents many vulnerable individuals who rely on the love and generosity of the body of Christ. This act of building her a home is not just a physical blessing but a spiritual one, demonstrating the love of God in action.

How You Can Help

    • Philippians 4:19“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”

  2. Donate: Consider contributing financially to help purchase the necessary doors, windows, and flooring materials.

  3. Spread the Word: Share this mission with others who may feel called to support or pray for this cause.

A Vision of Completion

This project is more than just a house—it is a testimony of God’s faithfulness and the love of His people. As the home nears completion, we trust that Roseline Lukelesia will experience the provision and peace that only God can give.

  • Matthew 25:35-36“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me...”

Let us come together as one body in Christ to support this mission and bring hope to Roseline Lukelesia.

Closing Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank You for the work being done by Pastor Kizito and Jehovah Saints Church in Kenya. We lift up Roseline Lukelesia and ask that You provide the resources needed to complete her home. Bless the hands that are building this house, and may it be a place of peace, comfort, and Your presence. Stir the hearts of Your people to give generously and pray fervently. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
