This Christmas season, let’s not leave even one homeless person out in the cold. The number of homeless people continues to rise, and it often feels overwhelming. But together, we can make a profound difference—and it starts with just $13 a month.
Why $13? This number holds a deep significance in our faith. Jesus and His 12 disciples—13 in total—changed the world forever. They carried the message of love, compassion, and hope to the ends of the earth. Today, you can use the number 13 to make an impact too.
Consider this:
There are over 150 million homeless people worldwide.
If just 8 billion people gave $1, we’d have $8 billion—that’s only $53.33 for every homeless person on the planet. Not going to go very far
In the United States alone, there are over 650,000 homeless individuals.
Now imagine the difference we could make if we each committed to just $13 a month.
Your $13 can provide:
A warm bed for someone who has nowhere to sleep.
A hot meal for someone who hasn’t eaten in days.
Hope and resources to help someone rebuild their life.
As Proverbs 22:9 reminds us, "The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor."
