The Power of Choosing Life: A Testimony

Have you ever pondered the profound mystery and miracle of life? Imagine a young woman, pregnant and grappling with an avalanche of emotions. Fear and uncertainty are her constant companions, and she contemplates abortion. Yet in the face of adversity, she finds the courage to carry her child to term. Throughout her journey, a network of love and support envelops her. Friends, family, and even strangers offer words of encouragement, reminding her of the miraculous beauty of life burgeoning within her. They help her see the potential and inherent value of the tiny life she carries. Fast forward to the birth of her child. As she cradles her newborn, a surge of love and certainty washes over her.

Despite the hurdles she's faced, she knows she's made the right choice. She's given her child the inestimable gift of life. As the child blossoms, she becomes a beacon of joy, illuminating the lives of those around her. The community cherishes and values her, and the story of the woman and her child becomes a testament to the preciousness of life and the resilience of choosing life amid challenges. This narrative is a poignant reminder that each life saved is a precious gem deserving love and protection.

It underscores the significance of bolstering and uplifting those grappling with challenging circumstances and choosing to value and safeguard life in all its varied forms. Consider these passages from the scriptures. In Psalm 139, 13, 16 we read, For you formed my inward parts. You knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works. My soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.

Your eyes saw my unformed substance. In your book were written every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them. Jeremiah 1, 5 tells us, Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you, I appointed you a prophet to the nations. Exodus 20, 13 is clear, you shall not murder. Proverbs 24, 11, 12 urges, Rescue those who are being taken away to death, hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter. If you say, behold, we did not know this, does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who keeps watch over your soul know it, and will he not repay man according to his work? Luke 1, 44 shares, For behold, when the sound of your greeting came to my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy.
