Sunday Service Reflection

By Archbishop Amin Gill of Jehovah Saints Church, Pakistan

Today, I had the privilege of leading a Sunday service in Chak No. 307 JP, where I shared a message from the Gospel of Mark, Chapter 4, verses 35 to 41. This passage, which recounts Jesus calming the storm, served as the foundation for a message of faith and trust in God's power.

Key Scripture: Mark 4:35-41

"That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, 'Let us go over to the other side.' Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, 'Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?' He got up, rebuked the wind, and said to the waves, 'Quiet! Be still!' Then the wind died down, and it was completely calm. He said to his disciples, 'Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?' They were terrified and asked each other, 'Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!'"

Reflection and Message

This powerful story reminds us that even in the midst of life's storms, we are never alone. Just as Jesus calmed the storm for His disciples, He is present in our lives to bring peace and assurance in times of trouble. The congregation was deeply moved by this reminder of God's sovereignty and love.

Closing Thoughts

I am grateful for the opportunity to minister to the faithful in Chak No. 307 JP and to witness their faith grow stronger through the Word of God. May we all continue to trust in Him, knowing that He has the power to calm every storm in our lives.
