Report from Pastor Naveen Kumar Valluri – Jehovah Saints, Samalkot, Andhra Pradesh, India
All-Night Prayer Session
This past Friday, Pastor Naveen Kumar Valluri of Jehovah Saints in Samalkot, Andhra Pradesh, India, led an all-night prayer session. The congregation gathered with a heart of compassion, lifting up prayers for:
The sick, seeking healing and restoration.
The homeless, praying for shelter and provision.
The poor and needy, asking God to meet their needs and bless them with hope and peace.
This prayer session was a powerful display of faith, selflessness, and love for others, as the congregation continues to live out Christ’s teachings.
Philippians 2:4 – “Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.”
Pastor Naveen and his congregation exemplify this verse by putting others before themselves and interceding on behalf of the less fortunate.
Building Treasures in Heaven
Pastor Naveen’s congregation is actively building Treasures in Heaven by living lives of compassion and service. Their actions reflect the heart of Christ, who calls us to care for the least among us.
Matthew 6:19-21 – “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
By prioritizing prayer and care for the sick, homeless, and needy, the congregation is investing in eternal riches that cannot fade.
Compassion for the Less Fortunate
Jesus taught us that when we care for the least among us, we are ultimately serving Him. Pastor Naveen reminded his congregation of this truth during the prayer session:
Matthew 25:35-40 – “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.”
Jesus said, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
When we help others with genuine compassion, we are not only meeting their needs but also honoring Christ Himself.
A Call to Action
Pastor Naveen’s congregation demonstrates the power of prayer and the importance of showing love to those in need. Their example serves as an encouragement to all believers to:
Pray for the Less Fortunate: Lift up the sick, homeless, and needy in prayer, trusting God to meet their needs.
1 Timothy 2:1 – “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people.”
Serve Others Selflessly: Look for opportunities to help those who are struggling, whether through prayer, acts of kindness, or financial support.
Galatians 6:2 – “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
Build Treasures in Heaven: Focus on eternal rewards by living a life of faith, compassion, and obedience to God’s Word.
Encouragement for Believers
The actions of Pastor Naveen’s congregation remind us of the importance of living out our faith through love and service. When we help others, we reflect the heart of Christ and bring glory to His name.
Hebrews 13:16 – “And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”
Proverbs 19:17 – “Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.”
Let us be encouraged to follow their example, knowing that every act of compassion, no matter how small, is significant in the eyes of God.
Closing Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank You for the faithful ministry of Pastor Naveen Kumar Valluri and the congregation of Jehovah Saints in Samalkot. Bless their efforts as they pray for and serve the sick, homeless, poor, and needy. Lord, may their example inspire others to live lives of compassion and service, building treasures in Heaven. Strengthen and guide them as they continue to reflect Your love to the world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
