Jehovah Saints Prison Ministry: Bringing Redemption and Hope to the Incarcerated
Our Mission: Sharing God’s Love and Forgiveness
The Jehovah Saints Prison Ministry in Malawi, led by Archbishop Victor K. Phiri, is dedicated to reaching out to incarcerated individuals. Through spiritual guidance, support, and rehabilitation programs, we help inmates discover redemption, forgiveness, and a renewed sense of purpose in life.
Our mission is inspired by the truth of Romans 6:23:
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
We believe that no one is beyond the reach of God’s grace, and through our ministry, we aim to shine the light of Christ into the darkest places.
Growing Impact: Transforming Lives in Malawi
Jehovah Saints Malawi is growing every day, and so is the impact of our prison ministry. With the increasing presence of our chaplains and volunteers in correctional facilities, we are witnessing God’s transformative power in the lives of inmates and prison staff alike.
On December 25, 2024, we organized a trip with five churches to Mulanje Prison. During this visit, we:
Shared the Word of God: Spreading the message of hope, redemption, and forgiveness.
Encouraged Fellowship: Engaging inmates in prayer and worship.
Provided Gifts: Demonstrating God’s love through acts of kindness.
Scripture Inspiration:“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.” — Isaiah 61:1
Testimonies of Transformation
We have countless testimonies of how God is working in Malawi’s prisons:
Inmates’ Lives Changed: Many inmates experience spiritual renewal and transformation, finding faith and purpose.
Pardons Due to Good Behavior: Through the power of God’s Word, many inmates develop good character, leading to pardons and reintegration into society.
Impact on Prison Staff: The prison staff also witness the changes in inmates and are inspired by the ministry’s work.
Scripture Inspiration:“If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” — 2 Corinthians 5:17
Our Vision: Training and Equipping Inmates
Our hearts are burdened with the need to train inmates to become responsible and productive members of society. Beyond spiritual guidance, we aim to equip them with practical skills and life lessons to prepare them for life after prison.
To achieve this, we need your support for:
Bibles: To provide every inmate with access to God’s Word.
Transportation: To reach remote prisons and deliver resources.
Teaching Materials: To support rehabilitation and spiritual growth.
Scripture Inspiration:“I was in prison and you came to visit me.” — Matthew 25:36

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the opportunity to minister to those in prison.
