Jehovah Saints in Malawi: Defending the Weak and Uplifting the Oppressed
Report by the President and Pastor of Jehovah Saints Malawi
The Mission of Jehovah Saints in Malawi
The work of Jehovah Saints in Malawi is rooted in a deep commitment to serving the vulnerable, as reflected in the Word of God:
Psalm 82:3:
“Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.”
This scripture serves as the foundation of our mission, reminding us of our calling to care for the most vulnerable in society.
Current Status of the Church
Church Building:
The Jehovah Saints Church in Malawi currently operates in a humble structure made of shared materials, including glass and “sherd” (referring to reused or improvised materials).

Challenges and Opportunities
Challenges:
The church lacks a proper building, which limits its ability to serve the community effectively.
Resources are scarce, making it difficult to expand outreach efforts.
Opportunities:
The congregation’s faith and resilience demonstrate the power of God to work through even the most challenging circumstances.
With support, the church can grow and provide greater assistance to the poor, fatherless, and oppressed.
Biblical Inspiration for the Mission
1. Caring for the Poor and Oppressed
The work of Jehovah Saints in Malawi aligns with God’s call to care for the vulnerable:
Proverbs 19:17:
“Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward them for what they have done.”
Isaiah 1:17:
“Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.”
The church’s efforts to serve the community reflect God’s heart for justice and compassion.
2. Building God’s House
Though the church building is modest, the congregation’s faith is strong:
Haggai 1:8:
“Go up into the mountains and bring down timber and build My house, so that I may take pleasure in it and be honored,” says the Lord.
Matthew 18:20:
“For where two or three gather in My name, there am I with them.”
The physical structure may be simple, but the presence of God fills the space, making it a holy place of worship.
3. Perseverance in Faith
The challenges faced by the church in Malawi are a testament to the faith and perseverance of its members:
James 1:12:
“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him.”
Philippians 4:19:
“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.”
The church continues to stand strong, trusting in God’s provision and guidance.
Jehovah Saints Malawi is a beacon of hope for the weak, fatherless, and oppressed. With prayer and support, we can help this ministry grow and fulfill its mission to serve those in need.
Key Message:
“Together, we can build a stronger church and a brighter future for the vulnerable in Malawi.”
