Jehovah Saints Church Kenya: Sharing God’s Love on Valentine’s Day
By Pastor Kizito Wafula
Door-to-Door Ministry: A Labor of Love
Pastor Kizito Wafula of Jehovah Saints Church in Kenya led a door-to-door ministry today, spreading the message of God’s love and hope. As part of this special Valentine’s Day outreach, the team showed Christ-like compassion to an elderly lady, reminding her that she is deeply loved by God.
The joy on her face, as seen in the photo below, reflects the power of God’s love shared through His people. Her happiness is a reminder that true love comes from God, and it is our calling to share it with others.
Biblical Inspiration for Ministry and Love
1. Showing God’s Love Through Action
True love is demonstrated through acts of kindness and care for others:
1 John 3:18:
“Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”
Matthew 25:40:
“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
By ministering to this elderly lady, Pastor Kizito and his team embodied the love of Christ, showing that every person matters in God’s eyes.
2. God’s Love Is the Greatest Gift
Valentine’s Day is often associated with human expressions of love, but the greatest love comes from God Himself:
1 John 4:8:
“Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”
John 3:16:
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
The team’s ministry is a reflection of God’s unconditional love, reminding us that His love is eternal and available to all.
3. Caring for the Elderly
The Bible calls us to honor and care for the elderly, showing them respect and compassion:
Leviticus 19:32:
“Stand up in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly and revere your God. I am the Lord.”
Proverbs 16:31:
“Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained in the way of righteousness.”
By spending time with this elderly lady and sharing God’s Word, the Jehovah Saints Church team honored her and reminded her of her value in God’s kingdom.
4. Spreading Joy and Hope
The happiness on the elderly lady’s face reminds us of the joy that comes from knowing God’s love:
Psalm 16:11:
“You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.”
Romans 15:13:
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
The photo of her joyful, God-filled expression is a testament to the hope and peace that comes from encountering God’s love through His people.
On this Valentine’s Day, Pastor Kizito Wafula and the Jehovah Saints Church team in Kenya reminded us all of what true love looks like—selfless, Christ-centered, and filled with compassion.
As we celebrate love today, let us remember to share God’s love with everyone, especially the vulnerable and forgotten.
“We love because He first loved us.” (1 John 4:19)
