This Drug and Alcohol Policy is designed to promote the health and well-being of everyone in the shelter while maintaining a safe and respectful community. Policy Statement The possession, use, distribution, or influence of drugs or alcohol is strictly prohibited on the premises of Jehovah Saints Homeless Shelters. This policy aims to create a safe and sober space where individuals can focus on stability, recovery, and personal growth. Scope This policy applies to all guests, staff, volunteers, visitors, and contractors at Jehovah Saints Homeless Shelters. Prohibited Substances and Activities Drugs: The possession, use, manufacture, sale, or distribution of illegal drugs or controlled substances is strictly prohibited. The misuse of prescription medication or over-the-counter drugs is also prohibited. Alcohol: The possession, consumption, or distribution of alcohol is not allowed on shelter property. Guests under the influence of alcohol may be denied entry or services, depending on the severity of the situation. Paraphernalia: The possession of drug-related paraphernalia, such as pipes, needles (unless medically prescribed), or other items associated with drug use, is prohibited. Policy Enforcement 1.
