Jehovah Saints Prayer Request Policy

At Jehovah Saints, prayer is a cornerstone of our faith and ministry. We believe in the power of prayer and are committed to supporting our members and community by lifting their needs to God in faith and unity. This Prayer Request Policy outlines the guidelines for submitting, sharing, and handling prayer requests to ensure respect, confidentiality, and alignment with biblical principles.

1. Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to:

  • Provide a clear and respectful process for submitting and sharing prayer requests.

  • Protect the privacy and confidentiality of those submitting requests.

  • Ensure that prayer requests align with the mission and values of Jehovah Saints.

2. Submitting a Prayer Request

Jehovah Saints welcomes prayer requests from members, visitors, and the community. Requests can be submitted in the following ways:

  • Online: Through the official Jehovah Saints website or prayer request form.

  • In Person: By filling out a prayer request card during services or events.

  • Via Email or Phone: Contacting the church office or prayer team.

When submitting a prayer request, please provide:

  • Your name (optional for anonymous requests).

  • Contact information (if follow-up is needed).

  • A clear description of the prayer need.

3. Confidentiality and Privacy

Jehovah Saints is committed to respecting the privacy of individuals who submit prayer requests.

  • Confidential Requests: If a request is marked as confidential, it will only be shared with the pastoral team or designated prayer leaders.

  • Public Requests: If a request is not marked confidential, it may be shared with the congregation or prayer groups, as appropriate.

  • Anonymous Requests: Individuals may choose to submit requests anonymously, and these will be handled with the same care and respect.

Jehovah Saints will not disclose personal details or sensitive information without the explicit consent of the individual submitting the request.

4. Sharing Prayer Requests

Prayer requests may be shared in the following ways, depending on the submitter’s preferences:

  • Prayer Teams: Shared with designated prayer team members for intercession.

  • Congregation: Shared during worship services, prayer meetings, or through church communication channels (e.g., newsletters, social media) if permission is granted.

  • Online Platforms: Shared on church social media pages or prayer forums only with explicit consent.

Jehovah Saints reserves the right to edit or summarize requests for clarity or appropriateness before sharing.

5. Guidelines for Prayer Requests

To ensure that all prayer requests align with the mission and values of Jehovah Saints, we ask that:

  • Requests be respectful and free from offensive or inappropriate language.

  • Requests focus on personal, family, or community needs rather than divisive or political topics.

  • Requests reflect a spirit of faith, love, and unity in Christ.

Jehovah Saints reserves the right to decline or modify requests that do not adhere to these guidelines.

6. Follow-Up and Support

Jehovah Saints is committed to providing spiritual support alongside prayer.

  • Follow-Up: If requested, a pastor or prayer team member may follow up with the individual for encouragement, counseling, or additional prayer.

  • Ongoing Needs: For ongoing or urgent needs, individuals may request to be added to the church’s prayer list or receive pastoral care.

  • Testimonies: Individuals are encouraged to share answered prayers or testimonies of God’s faithfulness, which may be shared with the congregation (with consent).

7. Reporting Concerns

If there are concerns about how a prayer request was handled, individuals are encouraged to contact the church office or pastoral team. Jehovah Saints is committed to addressing concerns promptly and with care.

8. Biblical Foundation for Prayer

Jehovah Saints’ commitment to prayer is rooted in Scripture:

  • Philippians 4:6 (KJV): "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God."

  • James 5:16 (KJV): "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

  • Matthew 18:20 (KJV): "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."
